"The Children of the Great Depression" program traveled 2,500 miles to 20 different public libraries, nursing homes, senior meal sites, and museums during 2006. More than 1,075 people celebrated the 75th Anniversary of Talking Books by playing Thirties Trivia and watching a 1930s multi-media presentation. Inter-generational learning was the goal of the program that presented facts from oral histories related by Illinois residents who were children of the Great Depression to audiences composed of senior citizens, Baby Boomers and school children.
